I am currently a post-doc student affiliated with the University of Ottawa. I am working on a project entitled ‘You Can Patent That? The Business of Technology Patents’ with supervisor Dr. Michael Geist.

In the fall of 2012, I will be joining the Communication Arts department at the University of Wisconsin Madison as an Assistant Professor in Media and Cultural Studies, with a focus on new media and digital culture. My research interests include the current state of the popular music industry, the marketing of cultural goods and the technologies of music production and consumption.

I am also writing a manuscript, based on research I conducted for my PhD dissertation Understanding the Digital Music Commodity in the department of Art History and Communication Studies at McGill University.

In whatever time I have left, I am the music editor and a resident podcaster at Midnight Poutine, a local blog about music, food, art and other cultural events happening in Montreal.
