comprehensive |ˌkämpriˈhensiv| adjective • complete; including all or nearly all elements or aspects of something
• of large content or scope; wide-ranging
• (of automobile insurance) providing coverage for most risks, including damage to the policyholder's own vehicle
• (also comprehensive examination or comp) an examination testing a student’s command of a special field of knowledge.
If you want to know where I've been for the last month, the above definition has the answer in it somewhere. Maybe I've been writing an essay of large content or scope. Or maybe I've invested in a new type of insurance coverage. You decide.
Comprehensive is a connundrum though. Like a twisted
finger trap. The more you try to cover one specific area, the more you realize how far from comprehensive you are.
